Experience

There are a lot of things I didn't experience, staying in a 10 year relationship out of high-school.

Hard learning ahead.

Alone

I'm starting to realize just how much I fear being alone.

Deserving

Ya'll deserve a new post.

Too bad we don't always get what we deserve.

Soon enough.

Slave to the Man

Ahoy hoy.

I don't remember what stories I told last time. And I'm gonna omit some stuff for fear of it being found by eyes that shouldn't see it. (The internet is crazy...)

Regardless, job scene:

I am heading in to here on Monday to sign the Employment Agreement for the job I was offered a week ago by them. I was procrastinating because I was hoping for a job offer from somewhere else, but other place never got back to me, so here I go.

So, that's done. I have a job. June 1st is when I become a regular 9 to 5 citizen again. I haven't worked for 2+ months now, and honestly, it's been bloody awesome. However, I need income again. Now to apply for an apartment in this building complex, and figure out a way to pay back Jeff and Tracy's enormous generosity for helping me reboot my life.

Other stuff: I refuse to talk about...for now. I don't want to jump the gun. However, let's just say I'm enjoying playing the game, for the time being.

Things are good and Colin is happy.

Disappointment and Encouragement

Ahoy, my awesome friends.

Job news:

Bermuda is out, again. :S Disappointing, but I'm starting to really hope I get a job here in Toronto anyways. It would have been an experience, but I'm starting to find my groove here and still really love it. So, yeah...maybe in the future.

Moncton phone interview went rather well, I thought, but then recruiter dude called me back asking for more information about a certain area (Sharepoint) which the company in Moncton had hoped I had more experience with. (I know it exists and what some of the features are...that's about it.) Again, I'm not hugely disappointed, I really wanna find a job here in Toronto. Moncton would have been last resort.

That story I related about bombing the 'adult dating' website job? Well, the recruiter dude calls me back mid-week, wondering how the website I was asked to build is going and stuff. He mentions during the conversation that I shouldn't be as worried or discouraged as I told him I was. Apparently the guys there were 'excited' about me and think I'd 'be a good fit'. Weird eh? Anyways, so that brought my spirits up. I'm actually hoping I get a job offer from them the most. The office is VERY close by and the two guys I talked to seemed very cool. The website they asked me to build is done, and I just need to get it up on the intarwebs now. Hopefully tonight.

The other interview that I had last week, way out in the boonies? I have a second follow-up interview Wednesday at 3 PM. That one seemed like it could be neat. It's far, but still reachable via subway, which is fine with me. I'll let you know how that goes.

Finally, I had an interview earlier today out in Mississauga. It went well, I think. Just basically chatted about my past and what I'd be willing to work on. No technical questions...the guys said I answered all their technical questions during them asking about my past. I'm not sure if that's good news or not. One guy said he was excited about my resume though. We'll see. I'm less enthusiastic about this opportunity, due to it being out in Mississauga, but if it's all I got, it's all I got.

That's it from the job world.
No new news to report on anything else, either.
